This was a lovely little day hike! The main trail around the lake was pretty busy with runners, dog walkers, families, and friends enjoying a walk. The trail condition was awesome around the lake, extra wide and packed gravel. To get away from the people for a bit, we went on a little side trail that had some decent elevation gain and loss as it met back with the trail. That part was super muddy at various parts though. My partner wasn't in waterproof shoes and there was some regret involved on our choice to detour. It was nice not to see anyone for a bit though! So quiet!

Oh, and even though it didn't impact us this time, there was a lot of algae on the lake, so no swimming! And the water fountains had signs on them that said they were winterized and not to use them, but the bathrooms were open.
