Goat Lake — Saturday, Nov. 11, 2023

Arrived at 8am as the fist car in the lot. By the time I headed up, another vehicle had pulled in. Took the lower trail out and upper back to the trailhead. I just did the loop rather than head out to the lake. Trail is wet - as to be expected with the current weather conditions. A few of the stream crossings were a bit challenging due to fast moving water. I preferred the upper trail as it was very soft underfoot. That said, at least 1/3 of it was under two inches of moving water. Back at the trailhead around 11am to see two more cars in the lot. Great hike - waterfalls are rushing! I would keep an eye out for a possible washout situation halfway up FS4080. If the heavy rains continue this could become an issue.
