Parked at the Fir Tree Rd trailhead. About a half a mile S saw work is well underway on replacement of salmon blocking culverts on the parallel, adjacent, Latigo Rd. Concrete footings are in, waiting for new bridge. Trail bridge that was installed year 2021 is perfect place for looky Lou’s.
Continue as far as you’d like.
We saw blacktail doe with two fawns, red tail hawk, and a pair of talky kingfishers on this light stroll.

Went today on my electric wheelchair and Leslie’s scooter from 67th st to 103rd St. Weather was perfect and we loved passing through miles of forest on either side. I especially recommend trail traveled to the handicapped. Beautiful paved trail with only a few uneven spots.
Now we’ve done the trail from Woodard Bay to 103rd and plan to get to Yelm by September!!
