I live in the Okanogan area and hike this trail about once a year. I arrived about 8am and there were just a few cars in the lot and it was about 53 degrees. This is the first year in several that it was smoke free. I hiked the trail clockwise which is the way I usually go and do the steep part first. The view from the top was gorgeous and the weather perfect. The trail was in great shape dry and dusty in spots. I was able to sit at the top and eat a snack and not bugs. Still a few wildflowers in spots. They won't last much longer. Hiked with my dog. There were a lot of people headed up when the dog and I were coming down. The parking lot was just about full when I made it back at about 1:20 pm.
