Chelan Lakeshore Trail by Meanvaf
Did this last Thursday/Friday and were the only ones on the trail. The lady of the lake dropped us up lake from the actual creek of Prince Creek so we didn't have to worry about crossing that. Got drizzled on for most of the first day but by the time we made it to Moore Point the sun was coming out. None of the stream crossings were too challenging. Did see two rattlesnakes on the trail near the beginning (even in the rain!) and a mama and cub black bear just before Moore Point. Also got charged by a grouse when we unintentionally got too close to her babies. Overall this was a great hike and Stehekin is amazing. I recommend planning for a few days there if you can. Many many day hike or other backpack options out of the valley and the rangers at the golden west visitor center are very helpful. Make sure you stop by the garden and say hi to Carl! He keeps bees, grows organic produce for stehekin, and taps the broadleaf maples on his property for syrup that he sells! Will definitely try to make this trail an annual outing.
