Trip Report

Cedar Falls Snowshoe — Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014

North Cascades > North Cascades Highway - Hwy 20
Cedar Falls partially encased in ice.
It is almost tough to call this a snowshoe trip. It was however snow throughout. My friend and I drove from the road to the parking lot but it was at the limit of our Jeep's ability. The trail is well packed to the point of being icy in spots. This gradually climbing trail is suitable for pets as well as children. The falls itself was beautiful but would probably be more interactive on a hot summer afternoon.
The Cedar Falls trail continues untrodden above the falls towards the Sawtooth Wilderness.
