Ira Spring Trail - Mason Lake — Thursday, Sep. 25, 2025

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass

The road in is unpaved for ~3 miles but not too terribly bumpy. Arrived at 8:30am on a Thursday and there were only 5 other cars there (the lot was probably 2/3 full when we returned around 12). The toilet was well stocked with TP & not too stinky.

The trail itself was beautiful, largely nice & wide and mostly climbing at a steady rate with a few steeper sections. I could still hear the highway for what felt like half the hike though which was unfortunate. Mason Lake was lovely and no mosquitos were sighted.

It was a nice cloudy day, and breaking through the cloud cover near the top made for some beautiful views of the peaks of the Cascades & Rainier.
