Parking was nearly full as we arrived just before 10 AM on a saturday. When we got back to the trailhead around 1 PM it was definitely over full. Disappointingly, there's a ton of trash and dog bags left at the trailhead in places that are definitely not garbage containers.
On the actual trail, there's a few downed trees that are easy to get over. Early on in the trail there's a section where you either have to carefully decend into a creek and go back up the other side, or carefully walk across a downed tree to the other side. The trail has a few other places where the erosion is pretty strong. Eventually near the top you start coming across the built stairs, most of which are in good condition although one set definitely has fallen apart at the beginning. The top of the trail has some pretty rocky sections that can be a little tricky to get past with loose rocks, but as long as you watch your footing you should be fine.
We noticed some bugs on the way back down after it started to warm up, but they weren't bothersome. There were tons of beautiful mushrooms on the trail to observe.
