Arrived at the trailhead at ~6:45am to only one other car who was a camper and not a hiker and was just leaving. I did not see a single soul the entire trip up and had the summit to myself for 30 minutes before seeing another hiker. When I returned to the parking lot there were only 4 cars.
The trail is in great condition; two or three downed trees that are no problem to cross and a couple "water crossings" that I would classify as just puddles. I got eaten up by mosquitos starting about halfway up even with permethrin, but mosquitos love me so maybe you won't have such a hard time.
To parrot other reviews, yes the road up is rough and I would not attempt it in a sedan. I made it just fine in my older RAV4 though. Views at the top are unbeatable.
