The Snoquerra Falls Loop trail from Camp Shepard trailhead was in great condition Friday 6/28. Brushed out and flagged for the SISU 24 ultra run on Saturday. There was also a WTA work party taking out rock ledges and putting in logs and rock. I stopped to chat with friend Don S on the crew. Lots of big Douglas Firs in this forest, and some pretty good sized Pacific Yews. Salal, thimbleberry, star flowers, foam flower in bloom. Western Coralroot orchids. The side trail up to the falls is steep and rocky. I went up for a closer look at the falls in heavy mist. Not a lot of water flowing, but it is a dramatic spot. On the way back I walked the Moss Lake loop. That is a very nice accessible trail through wetland areas for anyone looking for a short, fairly level hike on soft surfaces and boardwalks.
