Cashmere Canyons Preserve — Monday, May. 5, 2025

Central Cascades > Leavenworth Area
Cashmere Canyons Preserve by runs.and.hikes

All the wildflowers without the crowds. We were one of four cars in the late afternoon when we started, one of two when we left around sunset.

Starts with a long steady climb up a wide trail, probably 800-1000’ish + over approx 2 miles. No shade.

We did the Spring Canyon loop clockwise, which meandered through trees and flower-covered hillsides. A steep dusty climb and descent; poles would help for those sections, but we didn’t use ours.

No ticks or rattlesnakes, but we saw a lizard and lots of deer. Two bounding through the flowers at Little Bear in golden hour lighting was pretty magical. Many many more in the meadows near the parking lot.
