Snow level starts about 4000 feet elevation below the Mason Lake/Bandera split. Slushy in direct afternoon sun, some patches of ice in the shade on the descent to the lake, poles were helpful for me. Muddy and pooled water as well. Beautiful at the lake, should’ve expected the aggressive gray jays trying to snatch my sandwich. PS Long shot but I lost an emotional support glove, it’s a light gray herringbone, if you picked it up and see this report please let me know!
