Just a quick 1.75 miles down to the beach after parking at the Aerospace Rd. gate. Went with my kids who happened to be home for a visit. Good signage along the trail. Take the Fireweed Rd. trail to the Beach Trail and you'll come out on a rocky beach looking out at Protection Island.
