Magnuson Park — Sunday, Jun. 30, 2024

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area

This was a really fun walk in the park! I wouldn't necessarily call it a trail, as a vast majority of it is paved, but it was fun to walk around the entire park, perimeter wise.

We went early, around 8AM and walked from the public parking lot, to the lake, and then all around and back. There are many beautiful flowers and trees along the way and we stopped often to take photos. It smelled wonderful and you can even sit near the lake, and dip your hands in the water.

We had our dog with us, 4yr old Border Collie, who had a great time smelling all the plants and walking. It was really easy. It also very populated - dog friendly!

The only downside - there are not a lot of clear directions how to get the "trail" itself to walk around. From the public parking lot, you have to go through the athletic fields/soccer fields to make it to the walk trail, and it isn't marked. Definitely having your phone on you with the map is needed.
