Road conditions - The trailhead is right off the Mountain Loop Highway, so it’s accessible to all vehicles types. We arrived at 11:30 and there were 3 cars in the lot.
Trail conditions - The trail is a little muddy with some puddles. Nothing a good pair of waterproof hiking boots can’t handle. Some roots and rocks in the trail. And one or two logs across the trail that are easy to get over.
Spotted some good big Doug Firs, a Common Merganser, lots of rain soaked moss, and lots of good glimpses of the river. Also good mushy mushrooms!
