We arrived around 5:30pm, and the hike took us (infrequent hikers) about 2 hours. The entire last .5 miles to and from the falls is covered in snow, but it’s been well packed. We did okay with just hiking boots and poles, though perhaps would have felt a bit safer with micro-spikes. The falls were very pretty in the snow, and making it back to the river by sunset was a gorgeous view of Mt.Rainer!
