Attention ladies: this hike would be an *epic* elopement destination for those coronavirus brides craving mountaintop nuptials. Easy 2.5 miles to the summit with minimal elevation gain, panoramic views, and wildflowers aplenty... this hike is a must-do!
Note: we used the trailhead described in Rich Landers' "100 Hikes in the INW" book. You gain all of your elevation in the car on Forest Road #500 (about three miles past the Sullivan Lake campground) all the way up to the ridgeline, and from there it's a pretty easy jaunt up to the summit. Totally kid appropriate.
However! Do it quickly! The sign at the gate said that the road will be closed to motorized vehicles starting on August 15 (for grizzly bear conservation efforts). Otherwise, you'll have to access the summit via the sweaty 4000-ft slog from Noisy Creek.
On a side note: two members of our party made the entire hike from Pass Creek Pass down to Noisy Creek (via Hall Mtn), and reported that there was *significant* blowdowns and trail obstacles on the stretch along Trail #533. For those PNTA hikers attempting this section: you have been warned.
