We parked at the Grove of the Patriarchs parking lot and did the short Grove of the Patriarchs walk first that included the large suspension bridge. It was an easy, pleasant hike with only a moderate number of people.
Next we walked across the street to do the Silver Falls walk. Close to the entrance there is a large tree down and you have to climb around it but otherwise the trail was great. This was our first time doing this walk. It is short but beautiful. We had a 4 year old with us and she had no problem doing both hikes in succession. We went down to the lower viewpoint of the falls. If you park at Grove of the Patriarchs, watch out NOT to follow the Silver Falls Loop sign or you will end up with a much longer walk because it takes you down to the campgrounds rather than back to the parking lot. There is lots of shade so it is a great trail for a hot day.
