Stopped by to check out the wild flowers. There are plenty of flowers blooming still though the balsam root is now past prime. Trail is in pretty good condition though there is a lot of loose coarse dirt/rocks which poses slipping hazards. I did not see any snakes with did see a few lizards.

When coming from Pasco, WTA’s coordinates for the trailhead are a bit farther along the highway 730 than needed, but once you slow down approaching the suggested point, you won’t miss the trailhead and interpretive sign to your left.
This short and mostly easy trail offers fantastic views of the rocks and the Columbia gorge. I doubt it’s even 1 mi roundtrip. Last section, where the trail climbs to the rocks, is pretty steep and with loose gravel. Lots of side trails branching here and there, but since the rocks dominate the scenery, main trail is always obvious. If you’re not into little scrambling, there’s a short trail leading to the right, which ends at the top of bluff overlooking the rocks and the river.
Wildflowers are blooming now, and emerald grass gives special charm to the entire area. Winds are strong and gusty, so bring layers and don’t approach cliff edges too close.
Tip: combine this hike with Wallula Gap - East trail, which is just a couple minutes drive from the Twin Sisters Rocks.
