Shocked that in my many years of hiking that I never did this one. The parking is a bit limited even on a Tuesday as the trailhead is super popular but we did find a spot. The trail itself doesn’t seem too overpopulated even with lots of hikers. My 4 year old loved the hike and it was well within her abilities to walk all the way to the upper viewpoints. Old growth trees, great climbing rocks, river views and waterfalls make this trail really spectacular for its distance to the city. Made it back in plenty of time to get my son from school while still making some miles in the woods. Trail crew was clearing some down trees with chainsaws so it should be in even better condition tomorrow.

There were around 25 cars at the trailhead when I arrived around 11:45am on this lovely Tuesday morning. Two of the three toilets are open, clean and well stocked, and the trailhead has a kiosk to pay for day use. Trail is in good condition, four downed trees required a step over or duck under to manage and there are a couple of muddy spots. Buttercups and other lowland flowers blooming, and found a few ripe salmonberries along the trail. As always, a lovely hike to stunning waterfalls, and not so busy that I didn't at least have a few moments alone at each viewpoint. Lovely day for a great trail! Happy Hiking!
