Beware of: bugs, trail conditions

We stayed at the campground in loop A and used the access trail to connect to the Sol Duc falls trail. Some of these comments may apply more towards the access trails vs if you started at the trailhead via the parking lot. Definitely some muddy spots but able to navigate without dirtying up our shoes too bad. A few sections have ferns overgrown over the trail. Overall a nice little hike

An easy hike to pretty falls.  Parking lot was not full on a Saturday, but plenty of people so a good hike to wear your mask on.

Arrived at just before 12:45pm. The parking lot was about half full and the restrooms at the trailhead are open. Rangers were loading their mules into a trailer having just finished some trail clearing further up past the falls. Encountered 50-60 people there and back, so a pretty popular trail. There is a slight elevation gain, but very doable. The falls are beautiful! There are several places to view the falls from different areas. There is a very persistent Blue Jay flying around at the falls looking to snatch your lunch so watch out! In all it took us an hour round trip and well worth it.
