Very minor mud patches, but trail overall pretty dry and in good condition.

My 4 mile hike in Soaring Eagle Park was a very good one, the trail was a tad bit wet, but it wasn’t anything to extreme. The views were very nice and would make me hike again.

I would definitely recommend this hike

Due to some back issues, it's been a while since I have done a local hike. Started around 8am, and still quite a few spaces in the parking lot. It was warm for this time of year, about 55 degrees. Nothing too exciting about the hike, but it is a nice walk through the woods close to home. There are a lot of trails crossing each other, so you have to pay attention depending on where you are trying to go. For those who like to Geocache, there are a few along the trail.

Double D, Sleigh Ride (N), Do Loop, Bear Way, Lightning Trail, Devil's Slide, Blue Jay Way, Princess Trail (South Trail?), connector to Beaver Lake trails, Beaver Lake parking, Beaver Lake loop (6/5/4/3), connector to Hazel Wolf, Ann's Walkway (marsh loop), connector to Beaver Lake, Beaver Lake loop (3/2/1), connector to Soaring Eagle, South Trail, Northwest Passage, Downhill Loop, Bone Trail, Horse Trail (S), Katie Lane, Sleigh Ride, Double D.

I crossed the Pipeline Trail four times but never walked with it.

Had I known it was going to be such a nice day I might have been more ambitious.  Needing to make a Costco run I took a couple side trips while I was out.

Laughing Jacobs Waterfall:  Is this a hike?  Depends on your definition.  There's no parking in the neighborhood off of SE 43rd.  I parked at Lake Sammamish State Park, walked the East Lake Sammamish Trail, crossed over to SE 43rd and followed it up to a gated service road.  I wasn't sure where the waterfall occurred, so I followed the road to where it runs below the neighborhood, then bushwhacked down to the creek.  It was steep with rotten logs, devils club, ferns, and cliffed out in a few spots.  At the creek it was impossible to follow it further east, so I climbed back up the slope and took the road east all the way to where it's gated and there I found a filtered view down to the falls.  It would have been another steep bushwhack so I just took pictures.  A well-built switchbacking trail climbs all the way back to SE 43rd from there.

Soaring Eagle Park: There's not a lot of variances in the forest throughout the park, but it's a pleasant enough trail system for getting some distance.  Lots of mossy trees and running streams.  All junctions are well marked with excellent maps and directional grids at the bottom.  I saw a couple of deer along the way and was passed by a number of courteous bike riders.
