This is a great place to go with kids. They have a fewer playground from the last one we had went there 3 years ago. The trails are in great shape. My kids were so excited about all the bridges to cross. 7 types of flowers in bloom, too! There is access to the beach. Lots of little crabs and we saw a jellyfish. Highly recommend. We walked all the trails in the state park and then went a mile out on the Olympic Discovery Trail. They are doing construction right near it in a few spots.
Short series of trails that run through the park's campsites, you can take the main road down to the water for beautiful views of Sequim Bay, some marine species on the dock, or at low tide (it was high for us) a bit of beach available. Easy route, no challenging elevation gain or anything. Would be good to do if you were staying at the campsite.
