On our way out after our annual hiking grandma camping trip, we decided to check out a bit of the Discovery Trail. This section is a nice flat scenic spot crossing an old historic bridge over the Dungeness River. There is a very nice interpretive center at the beginning, save it for after you walk. Lots of signs along the way about the bridge history, restoration of the river and the S'Klallam people. This is a nice scenic ADA trail that can be done by most anyone. The interpretive center has good coffee and some treats also. Not a destination hike, but a nice stop if you are in the area. Be aware that the GPS takes you to the start of the trail, but not to the parking lot. There is a small brown sign that directs you down a dead end road. Once done with this and back on the road, we hiked a bit more of the Discovery Trail by the restrooms in Blyn opposite the casino. Not to impressed, the trail was by the road and way too noisy for walking. Check out the Native art gallery and gift shop by the trail parking lot, cool stuff! #hikeathon. Wide, paved trail.  Beautiful surroundings.  Holiday lights are currently up adding a little splash of color along the trail.  Head out at sunset!

Nice paved trail.  The Audubon center is great and I recommend checking it out if you do the hike.

After checking out the small collection of stuffed birds and mammals at the shiny Dungeness River Nature Center (and stocking up on rubber banana slugs at the gift shop), we followed the Olympic Discovery Trail across the shiny bridge over the Dungeness River, and back.

Still work going on at the bridge itself, but the path is clear for walking or biking.
