Trails covered in order: Bus
Road, Powerline, Poo Poo Point Trail, West Tiger Railroad Grade, West Tiger 3 Trail. Total trip was 8.9 miles over a 1530 foot elevation gain. The trail is icy in places. The West Tiger 3 Trail is particularly icy and extremely hazardous on the steeper sections. There are areas of snow on the West Tiger Railroad Grade. There is a ten-inch windfall overhanging the Poo Poo Point Trail about 0.1 miles north of West Creek and a six inch windfall across the West Tiger Railroad Grade between the junctions with the Nook and West Tiger 3 Trails. The weather was overcast and cold. Poo Poo Point did not get its name because it is a case study for Hikers Against Doo-Doo. In fact, there is a very nice composting toilet there.
