MON 11mar2024 morning, ~07:30 i was in Bothell WA a walkabout. Nice cool high_40s_F, and Out i went on a CW-Loop via road-connectors and short section of the North Creek Tr, Sammamish River Tr, and Burke Gilman Tr.

Light traffic on the roads, and ~80% of the road-connectors having Pedestrian-Sidewalks. The Trails was paved. Saw "many" people walking, some with their dogs, and a few Cyclists.; anyway, it was "crowded" .. and everyone's nice and friendly. Also, the Trails, "road-connectors", and Bothell downtown were nice and clean - well-maintained.

Cheers!

Quick walk this morning along the southernmost section of the  North Creek trail with an additional side excursion over to the Cascadia/UW Bothell wetland trail Monday morning before the rain/hail/sleet/etc showed up.  We parked at the North Creek Trail Park off North Creek Parkway - free parking though space is limited.  The only restroom along this section is at the far southern end next to the sports fields and was open and in good condition.  No trail issues, though even though this is a largely flat mixed use trail there are several areas and transitions which would prevent wheel/power chair access.

Lots of bird/ducks out this morning, heron, hawk, gadwall, ring necked, northern shoveler, towhee, etc.  Nice views of the wetlands and forests though nothing is really awakened from winter and the area is largely brown rather than green.  Don’t miss the little new section of trail off the northern section near the Northshore School District building allowing very nice new views of the large pond there.  A super nice little easy walk if you are in the area.

I started at North Creek Park. The boardwalk is in good shape. When I got to the north end, I kept going straight and joined up with the North Creek Trail that goes through Mill Creek to McCullom Park. There is a fair amount of trash along the way and it’s not terribly scenic. It is a nice trail for exercise if you live or work in the area. I heard birds and frogs and enjoyed a bit of sun. Lots of options for lunch or coffee.

The trail is quiet, but follows close to housing.  There is a lot of trash people have thrown in the trees and brush.  Garbage cans overflowing with trash.
