Nice walk it was muddy in a few spots. The map we had was a bit outdated. There were two trails on map that we closed to the public.
Beware of: trail conditions

Very easy hike no hills or anything. We kept ending up back on the service road so i don't know if we actually hiked the whole trail or not. It's a good trail if you have kids.

Hiked 4 miles with the dog today at 8am, didn't see anyone until I walked through the campgrounds on my way back. Beautiful sunny morning, a couple of 20' sections with 2" deep mud, but other than that the trail was great!

This a great day trip hike if you live in Olympia area. Myself and my husband were pleasantly surprised at how serene and quiet it was this time of year too. Huge old growth trees right at the entrance and in many other spots. Overall a heavily shaded trail, relatively flat, about 4.5 miles if you hike the entire loop around the park. There is also a great beach area with swimming, kayaking, fishing, picnic tables, bathrooms, etc. so you could do a lot more here if you wanted or you can choose to hike through it or around it.
