Today was a lovely day on the trail. We got to the trailhead at around 7:30 and there was only one other car. The trail is well maintained and easy going. Saw some geese on the grass. The views were spectacular and the early morning mist made it even more beautiful. On our way back towards the car we met several other joggers and dog walkers.

Beautiful day in The PNW. Trail is paved or boardwalk and easy for all ages. Get there early as the parking areas fill up fast.

We parked at the Meadowbrook Farm Interpretive Center and took the paved trail to Centennial Fields Park. We cut left at the tree line and followed the Meadow Loop trail around Scout Meadow and Greenchop Fields, before connecting back to the paved trail and returning to the parking lot. The fields were squishy and wet, but our dogs loved it (especially the one who enjoyed finding and attempting to eat elk poop). Great views of snowy Mount Si.

My almost 3 yo son keeps asking for an elk for his birthday and well, seeing as that's never going to happen, we thought maybe seeing some elk would fill the gap. We got here around 2:30 and a few families were around flying planes and drones and doing photo shoots. We decided to stick to the outer perimeter loop and went clockwise. There's a nice gravel path which follows along the highway (a bit noisy) once you hit the trees the path looks more of an animal trail, but it's easy to follow. We didn't think we were going to see any elk, but once we got over to the Greenchop fields there they were! We kept close to the tree line to keep our distance, but evidently was still too close for comfort for them lol. Mt. Si was hiding in the clouds most of the time we were there, but finally peaked out when we were almost done. TONS of poop everywhere, so be careful where you step! Some parts of the trail were pretty muddy, my son enjoyed walking through a pretty big puddle. Anyway, nice Sunday afternoon in the park and very happy we got to see the elk!

Just needed an easy nature walk as I get over a cold. Was also hoping to see some elk but they were hiding today although a woman on the trail before us said she saw some! This is really kind of either a paved trail or boot path (one or the other) kind of walk. You can go a couple of ways from the interpretive center but boot paths in the middle connect so you can make a loop. Taking a screen shot of the map helped me, but the paths are pretty easy to find without. It was sunny and dry today, but I can imagine needed waterproof shoes if it rains. The paved trail along hwy 202 is quite noisy but the other parts of the trail are quiet and relaxing. Loved the view of Mt. Si!
