The trail has a half mile detour at the start which is fairly well signed. Another sign could be helpful at the junction up the hill "Lauralee". Also another sign going the other direction at the start of the detour would be helpful for those unfamiliar with the trail.
The trail is in good condition. Most of the deciduous trees have dropped their leaves and they are blanketing the trail in places. A few slippery muddy patches to watch out for.
I opted to go to the lower viewpoint on the way up today and was glad I did as once I Reached Debbie's View it was socked in.

Such a hikeable grade and smooth tread to boot! Trail was not muddy. Highway sounds fade away the higher up you get.
Suggest to take a pic of the detour route heading up past the start of the actual trail. There is signage along the detour route to guide hikers except at the fork of Juniper and Laurel, even though both paths join up with Margaret’s Way. No detour signage on Margaret’s way on the descent.
Saw the typically-expected Pacific Wren and Douglas Squirrel along the way with a bonus mixed-foraging-flock of Black-capped Chickadees and their allies. But it wasn’t ‘til just before the gate to the parking lot that I hit the jackpot. Almost stepped on the little feller; a Roughskin Newt!

Arrived at the parking lot at 7:45am on Sunday morning. There were only a few vehicles in the parking lot, but about 10 vehicles showed up in about 15 minutes. Portable toilets were open, clean, and stocked with toilet paper. The trail has a few downed trees in the first mile or two, including a tricky one near the beginning. The trail is still accessible and was busy today.
