There were still a few open spots in the parking lot when we arrived around 11am on this lovely Wednesday morning. Trail down to the beach is in good condition, there are a number of wildflowers blooming and ripe salmonberries along the forested trail, and the estuary and beach never disappoint. Portable toilets are present at the upper parking lot and at the lower picnic area, including an accessible one at the picnic area near the ADA parking lot - all of them were clean and stocked. The beach access mat has also been installed for the season. The kiddos had a great time looking for interesting rocks and climbing on the logs at the beach. Happy Hiking!

I headed out to Meadowdale Saturday with WTA. I think this was day 2 or 3 of WTA being out here this week working on the trail.

Parking & Amenities: the parking lot is small for how busy this trail is, we ended up parking up top on the street. Just make sure to read the signs when you park on the street. The lot was full by 8 AM Saturday morning. There is a port-a-potty in the parking lot. There are also port-a-potties once you get to the bottom of the hike.

Trail: we worked on drainage issues. We dug drains so that the water moves off the trail and hopefully helps with the mud too. We saw lots of hiker Saturday. There's a nice covered picnic area once you get to the bottom.

Joined a WTA crew working on this trail. I had never been here before and was impressed by the dense forest and size of the park. Very peaceful- maybe the rain contributed to that! We mostly worked on improving the tread and drainage. Lots of friendly people walking by!

Sunday Morning, April 27, at 0915, we took the last parking spot. Porta potties in NEED of cleaning and TP refill, at both the parking lot and down in the meadow. Great to see so many people of a variety of ages out enjoying this gem spot.

Still some mud at the usual places. Flowers blooming: pink Bleeding Heart, yellow Buttercups, and pink Salmonberry. Lots of birdsong too.

Cheered on some cold plunge swimmers on the beach. Yikes.

It would be SO helpful if the parking lot lines could be re-painted as there would then be space for a few additional cars. Picked up a few handfuls of garbage, take those orange peels home please! So thankful that visitors are being mindful of the restoration going on. Enjoy this park.
