MON 31oct ~15:30 arrived Lake Chelan SP WA .. to Car-Camp for the night. There were only 3x Trailer-Campers in the with-Utilities campsites and none in the no-Utilities Basic campsites. i checked-in to the Basic #36 π
BIG thank-you to the Maintenace people for the v clean Bathrooms and Restrooms (Flushed toilets), and the surrounding areasΒ πππ
After checking-in, i boiled some water .. made Hot Tea .. had a couple slices of Sara Lee Pound Cake .. then went for a walk: Campsite_#36 > Lake Chelan SP beach > Little Bear Tr > Campsite_#36 .. The Little Bear Tr was dry, seemed well-maintained, andΒ obstacles free. Nice and quiet .. saw no one else on the Trail .. and didn't encounter any bear .. π
The "current" weather here is nice .. a little chilly but no rain. It was drizzling intermittently during my drive (~11:00 Renton - 13:00 Lake Wenatchee SP). Btw, my drive on US_2 (from Monroe - Wenatchee went smoothly - "unevenful". Though US_2 was mostly wet, it was in good driving condition .. and the Drivers were courteous and driving safely.
Happy Trails Everyone π

We encountered a large cougar on the trail! Alerted camp officials and trail is closed! Hikers beware. At campground they said a cougar came into the campsite last august chasing a deer. We met others in chelan who have seen cougars coming into yards. Be careful with pets and young children.Β
