Went to this lovely beach park for a sunset stroll. This place is gorgeous and brings a sense of calm, though it is so often crowded, especially earlier in the day.

The caveat: $10.00 fee to enter the park and hiking passes are not accepted here, you have to pay to play!

There are nice, short trails here and a cool yurt village and camping, etc. but the beach is fantastic and they do a great job of keeping this place clean and enforcing the rules here.

Lovely island and mountain views. The Olympics are dazzling and many mountains can be seen, such as Mount Constance, Buckhorn Mountain and Mount Deception.

Great evening!

I went to Kayak Point and hiked the 1.1 mile loop through the forest.  I imagine it doesn’t see much use when campers aren’t around.  I thoroughly enjoyed it.  It was a beautiful day and hardly one was at the beach.  Great escape for a few hours.

There is a beautiful little 1.1 mile day hike that begins and ends in the campground loop. Perfect for any age and pets. Excellent trail conditions!
