This trail does not have an operational established-campsite, as suggested in WTA-app. Overnight camping is not allowed at this trail. You have to use campgrounds around Wenatchee Lake if you want to camp at n the area.

The road to the trail was very easy. No issue driving there with our minivan which doesn't have great clearance. There was only one other car in the parking lot when we arrived on a Thursday morning.

The trail up to the lake had a few obstacles (large trees down across the path) but they were easy for my daughter and I to climb over. The mosquitoes were a huge annoyance on the way up to the lake. Multiple times I'd swat them on my arm and kill two that were trying to get me. I was very worried that the lake would be swarming with mosquitoes but was pleasantly surprised that there were none when we got there.

We spent about 20 minutes at the lake enjoying the scenery and standing in the water before making the trek back down. The mosquitoes were just as bad on the way down as they were on the way up so we just kept moving and swatting.

Overall a very fun and short hike that my 7 year old really enjoyed. We try and hike this at least once a year and we both love it every time. I will say this was the worst I have seen the mosquitoes but at least the lake was free from them!

Easy, pleasant trail through a nice forest. Perfect for stretching my dog's legs. One big tree down that required climbing over. Recommend bug spray, lots of mosquitoes.

Love this trail but had to turn around about a quarter mile in due to a large fallen tree. I’m guessing it was over 4.5 feet tall. I had my baby and toddler with me so getting the baby and carrier safely over, would’ve been too much of a challenge by myself. If I only had my toddler with me, we could’ve figured it out. Also, the mosquitoes were awful today.

This is a really nice trail, not too narrow or steep, there are some roots and rocks to be aware of, but overall, very manageable. The biggest obstacle was a large tree over the trail, which was a little awkward climbing over. I'm 5'2", and the tree was about chest high, but I was able to clamber over it.

Our kids, 11 and almost 3, really enjoyed it. The 3 year old made it all the way to the top by himself, but got a ride from dad on the way down.

The best part of this hike for me is the trail that goes around the lake. It's a little harder to pick out in some spots, and there are creeks and waterfalls that are more difficult to navigate in some places, but they're also what make it such a beautiful trail.

We didn't take the 3 year old around, as he was done, but when our daughter was about 7, we walked halfway around to the bigger waterfall.

This is definitely a hike we'll do again!
