This was the first hike I ever did, 54 years ago. Surprised to see lake level so low, I guess it varies. Nice walk in the forest. Limited campsites available.

Road to trail head was clear and decently maintained. Parking at trailhead adequate for 4 or 5 vehicles with creative arrangement. The trail was excellent for the first mile and half before the snow showed. Fresh powder made trail navigation questionable at times, but doable. 12-18" near the lake made the final approach slow going. There was a couple small obvious camp spots immediately to the left once the lake was reached. If there is a trail to circumnavigate the lake I was not able to find it in the snow. The steep banks of the shore made travel around the lake near impossible and I was only able to make it 1/4 of the way around. The Lake was mostly frozen with some small thawed areas where I tried my hand at some fishing (no luck). This would be a beautiful day hike in the nicer months, but not much to offer in the winter.

Great snowshoeing trip.

NF-21 was compact snow.
The NF-2110 road up that leads to the trailhead was deep snow, parked half way up.

Snowshoeing directly from my car, lots of very deep snow the higher i got.

Amazing trip on glacier trail #89.

Happy dog.

(I removed the bright orange micro plastic creating pollution from the branches. Don't do this, stay home if you're not nice or smart)

Note: the main wta trip description picture for this hike doesn't look correct at all. Think that's a different glacier lake.

The driving directions for this hike are incomplete. You have to keep driving past where it tells you the trailhead is until you are above where the map shows you to go. The trailhead is obvious, with a sign and a parking area.

The trail was in nice condition. You hike down to meet the creek, but do not cross, the trail continues up and up to the lake. Really beautiful mossy forest and nice trail overall. This hike is about the journey and not the destination.

I was unable to fund this trail! I followed the directions to the letter multiple times, drove AND walked quite a distance past where the trailhead should have been just to be sure, combed the area, to no avail. Was there a washout? Landslide? There's not even an indication of a sign, a footworn path, nothing, only a very small indent or clearing where it may have possibly been? Makes no sense as the last trip report was in July(?) Where did I go wrong? Any help welcome, please. I've never had this happen before...
