More of a stroll vs a hike, but did the lower trail along the water from the pleasant hill parking lot when I had a couple hours to kill on Bainbridge today. Really nice walk along a paved trail with little side trails to the rocky beach. Songbirds and flowers plus plenty of water and ferry views made a very pleasant walk.

Figured I'd start from the connector trail at Blakely Harbor, but the small parking lot there was also closed when we got there at 10:30am. Fortunately there were plenty of pullouts nearby, and few other cars.
Followed the connector trail to Fort Ward, doing a loop before going down to the beach. The negative tide exposed some interesting sea life, plus there were lots of (noisy) seals just off shore near the fish farm, and plenty of birds (incl Bald Eagles and a Kingfisher).
Trails were all clear, just a few muddy spots. OpenStreetMap had most of the trails, but this map was useful as well.
Encountered over a dozen parties on the trails, incl some on bikes, but no one on the beach.

A nice loop (1.7 miles with 200' of gain) hike down to the beach and up through mature forest. Some history makes this hike interesting as well.
Great spot for a picnic down on the beach and the old gunnery structures are an attraction for the wee ones.
The main trail is paved and well maintained. The side trails are also well maintained. Was a little muddy with some standing water, due to all the rain from the past few days.
They have two biffys, one at the parking lot by the boat launch and the other by the barracks. They also have a water source if you or your dog may need a drink of water. They also have a good number of picnic benches around the park.
