My wife and I enjoyed the Bluff Trail, the Gun Battery, and the great weather. We watched a juvenile eagle, a tanker and a barge-towing tug boat in the strait, and enjoyed the blooms and blossoms providing reassurance of spring. The trail is in great condition. The weather change brought out many hikers and one biker who said he was unaware that the Bluff Trail does not allow biking.

We had camped at the park Friday and Saturday nights so hiked part of their trail system before heading home. There was light rain and strong winds. There are 3 miles of hiking trails some of which connect to the adjoining Kettles Co. Park trails. One can hike the beach 2.2 miles south to Ebey's Landing. We did the Bluff trail and hiked to Lake Pondilla.
