It was a little hard to find this place but so worth it! We were not the only ones who had issues - by the time we found the right little trail, we had amassed a group of 10 or so from multiple groups all on the same mission. The trail to reach the town is NOT where there is a large "Bordeaux" sign - it's just a little further east.

The ghost town remnants were found on the left side of the road, where the guide suggests parking, not on the side of the road of the cement tower, although there could have been additional ruins on that side that we were unable to find. There was a good deal of mud so boots would be recommended. Apart from the dilapidated structures, diverse flora and and a small creek were highlights.

We went here after visiting Mima Mounds. We didn't spend a lot of time in the "town" and only saw 3 buildings. There were mosquitos and lots of stinging nettles. Definitely regret not covering up. Also, there are too trails we found - one led to the creek and it had a log that we thought was the bridge. That wasn't it, there is another trail with a real bridge to the town.

Had fun this morning spending a quick couple hours hiking around this area. Kids enjoyed it and trails were relatively flat and easy going.
