This is a fantastic, easy hike! The only issues with the trail is that there is a lot of erosion in some areas but it is still passable! The spring wildflowers are just starting to wilt, but there are still some in full bloom in the shadier areas. Also in the shady, moist areas there is a bunch of miner's lettuce! Also the wild roses are starting to bloom! As you hike there will be clicking in the trees, which is caused by cicadas; the kind that don't make a song but just make clicking with their leaves. If you are really diligent you might be able to find a short enough tree to see one of them! (They look like a cross between a catfish and a fly) As for the wildlife, we saw a turkey vulture, a VERY large wild turkey, and had two snakes cross the path. One about 3 feet long that looked like a bull snake? Another very small possibly a garter?

Parked at trailhead on Robbins Ed. Hiked up to towers, great sunny day, my first time up here. Super views all around. Easy hike.

Parked at trailhead on Robbins Rd, pretty icy put the truck into 4x4 for last mile or so defiantly need it to make it up the hill. Had the place to ourselves snowshoed with my husband, Aussie, and 2 friends with labs. Beautiful and great exercise up to the radio towers. Visiting from out of town so we didn't know trails well and traversed our trail up back down. Snowing steadily the whole time. Realized we lost our truck keys while my husband was romping around! Left truck overnight, spare key coming over on a flight today ... Always an adventure. Plan on coming back in spring with a metal detector to find them! **if you find keys with a fob and small monkey knot please call 206-818-4519 - Jake** Took a couple hours saw a family last mile taking a walk and several more sledding at trailhead.

Beautiful snowy hike!! We took the Leland Pond trail, and did a 4 mile loop. Snow was up to 4 feet deep in some areas. Several trees down that we had to climb over or under.

Have done this hike many times. There are trail heads on east and west side. lots of different paths but with smart phones you can choose the best route. Encountered a mountain lion last time a quarter mile from the east trail head entrance. It quickly went the other way. So 3 or more in your group are recommended and we now carry bear spray.
